Highlights
On January 23, 2026, we did something bold.
We launched the very first DEED ACTIVE conference — and brought together industry experts from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Russia under one virtual and physical roof.

But this wasn't just another networking event. We had three big missions:
Build a space where real expertise flows freely
Connect the rising generation with world-class studios
Create relationships that outlast a single day

And honestly? We crushed all three.
A Look Back at Our Debut
DEED ACTIVE Episode 1
DEED ACTIVE
proved one thing loud and clear: great talent doesn't need to live in LA, London, or Wellington to get noticed. It just needs the right platform.
The Heart of the Event: Diploma Defenses
The most electric part of the day was the diploma thesis defense. Our graduates presented their work live to a jury that would make any VFX artist’s heart race: Wētā FX (New Zealand), DNEG (Canada), Netflix Animation (Australia) and other supervisors from top studios.
The result? Multiple students walked away with job offers on the spot. Not promises. Not "we'll call you." Real offers. That’s not just a win for them — it’s proof that Deed Crew School is producing talent that the industry actively wants.

And the Grand Prize—a trip to New Zealand, complete with visits to iconic filming locations from The Lord of the Rings, Avatar, The Hobbit, and The Chronicles of Narnia, plus a private behind-the-scenes tour of the legendary Wētā FX studio — went to Anastasya Igosheva.
